Pioneering Captain Morris Dies After Paralysis
Captain W. TL Morris, a longtime Gayoso and Hayti resident born in Troy Tenn, died Tuesday from paralysis. He moved to Gayoso in 1877 and to Hayti in 1900, leaving a wife and four children. Funeral held Wednesday at Woodlawn Cemetery with Masonic rites and a large gathering. details of his life and associations remain to be published.

Appendicitis Operation Successful In Center Missouri
Campbell Citizen reports Charles Hedgoe was brought from Center Missouri for an appendicitis operation by Dr John L Brown. Friday Dr Brown and Drs W W Brown G Hanmerster and C A Mas performed the operation removing about one pint of pus. Hedgoe is recovering well.
