Conservation Tour Planned for Oct 2 in Gillespie and Kimble
The Harper area faces many acres of abandoned cropland in Kimble Gillespie and Kerr counties. A conservation tour October 2 starting at 1 p.m. in Doss will showcase brush control and grassing of land with visits to the Otto Spaeth James Baethge ranches and the Curtis Cameron and Felix Klein ranches. The event, led by Gillespie and Upper Llanos Soil and Water Conservation Districts, includes a director election in Sub-Division 2 and stops in Harper, Kimble, and nearby communities.
