A two day sheep shearing school will be held in Gillespie County on October 2 and 3. Sponsored by the Texas Agricultural Extension Service and Sunbeam Corporation, the event offers equipment, instruction, and a barbecue supper. Up to 30 registrants pay 7 dollars for the course plus 2 dollars for the barbecue meal. notable instructors include Dr George Ahlschwede and Charles Swain, with Sunbeam clipper care by Hans Ruckert.
