Obscenity Is Poison By Fen Charles Desmond
In 1954 a New York committee spotlighted lurid comic books and sought means to restrain obscene material. Desmond argues that government can and should limit harmful literature, citing traditions of public morals, prior restraint debates, and Supreme Court references to protect citizens from obscene content. He endorses democratic tools to eliminate obscenity.
