Coast Guard Survey Team Returns to Complete Hill Country Work

Commander William F. Deane and the U S Coast and Geodetic Survey party will return to Eredericksburg on Saturday, Sept 29, to finish work begun last year. Funeral services were held for Mrs Wallace Brown, daughter of the Cowserts. Garland Milam made a business trip to Junction and Menard. Mrs Lizzie Hodges died, she was a longtime friend of the community. Wildlife sighting as Mrs Milam saw wild geese and predicted cold weather.

Illness strikes Mrs. Alfred Lehne in Fredericksburg hospital

Friends report Mrs. Alfred Lehne is ill and hospitalized in Fredericksburg after a heart attack on Monday. Adolph Juenke, visiting Kerrville, is staying with friends in Harper this week. Hilmar Lett and Levens Wondel were guests Thursday evening. Rose Kensing of San Antonio spent the weekend with relatives here.

Mrs A P Boyett and Mrs Maggie Giles of San Antonio and Mr and Mrs Mavin Wills with their daughter visited Mrs Herbert Jones Sunday. Edwin Lang was kicked by a horse at his Fredericksburg home Saturday and is in Fredericksburg Hospital for treatment.
