Girls State elects Neffendorf and Harper to offices
Jan Neffendorf is elected State Treasurer and Tamra Kim Harper City Treasurer at the 1976 Bluebonnet Girls State held at Texas Lutheran College Seguin. Chief Justice Joe Greenhill administered the oath. 608 girls attend June 8 to 18 as delegates of local American Legion auxiliaries.

The Bexar County Mounted Sheriff's Posse will perform at the Hill Country Horse Club Rodeo Friday and Saturday July 2-3 at the HCHC arena on Kerrville highway. Gates open at 8 p.m. each night with 200 plus contestants and events in Bareback Bronc Riding Tie Down Calf Roping Steer Dawling Ladies Barrel Racing Bull Riding. Vic's Rodeo Co. of Marion provides stock. A dance follows with music by Wagon Ac es of Fredericksburg.

Railroad and Comedy Films Set for Sunday Library Show
Pioneer Memorial Library will screen historic railroad films on Sunday evening June 27 at 7 p.m. in Milam Hall. Titles include Last of The Giants Tracks of The Iron Horse Northwest Empire and Southland Empire. The Union Pacific Railroad furnishes the films and the program runs until 10 p.m with a brief intermission.

About 130 youths from 17 counties in District 7 Texas A M Extension Service compete June 26 at the Mason Fair Grounds.
