Make It Yourself With Wool Contest At Kerrville

The Make It Yourself With Wool contest took place at Kerrville Municipal Auditorium on Saturday afternoon. The event featured a style show MC by Jan Brown Harper High School senior, with participants and guests including Mrs. G R Rothmann and others from Junction and Kerrville.

Mrs J B Reiger Tours Midwest Returns After Trip

Mrs J B Reiger visited her sisters and brothers in Oklahoma Missouri and Arkansas traveling over 1500 miles by bus. She was away a month and reported plenty of rain and the small grain was pretty. She came home Saturday. Mrs Fred Sabers accompanied Mr and Mrs Arthur Lange of Kerrville to San Antonio. Mr and Mrs Johnnie Jones and their son of San Angelo and Mr and Mrs Clint Brown visited here Sunday.

Bode Family Visitors and Birthday Party Noted

Mr and Mrs Ruben Bode visited Alec Bode in San Saba where he is a patient. Morris Bode and his wife of San Antonio visited Ruben and Mrs Bode on their way to Chicago. Mrs Elton Spencer hosted a party for her daughter Lisa fourth birthday with guests Maryin McDougall Ranay Reggie Harper Teresa Tatsch Ann Welling David Wilson and Marcelle Marschall. Lisa received many gifts and Santa Clauses were given as party favors.

Whitworths visit Houston to care for Mabry grandchildren

Mr. and Mrs. Pete Whitworth went to Houston Wednesday to care for their granddaughters Ann and Mary Sue Marabry while their parents attended the funeral of Mr Mabry's father in Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Harper and children visited his aunt and uncle Weslie Kulman in San Angelo Sunday.

Farm Bureau Starts Cash Drive for Sagebiel Family

Longhorns head to Junction tournament this weekend

After winning Harper last weekend the Longhorn basketball teams travel to Junction for a three day tourney on December 10 to 12. The girls open Thursday at 6 pm against Leakey followed by Kerrville freshmen. Teams include Eden Nueces Canyon and Mason for girls and Rock Springs Eden Kerrville freshmen Harper Paint Rock Junction B Wall and Junction A for boys.
