Dedication Services Mold For Harper First Methodist Church

On December 20 1961 dedication services were held at the newly redecorated Harper First Methodist Church. Rev EH Miss Thomas Kerrville District superintendent delivered the message with an anthem sung by Mars Fr Ellis Thomas at the piano. Former pastors Rev B E Breihan O K Ottmen and Res Hart joined the worship program and a Christmas reception followed hosted by the Harper Women’s Society of Christian Service.

Family Trip to Chicago Includes Museums and Snow

Mr and Mrs Norman J Dietel and Mrs George W Krueger with children traveled from home on Sunday December 27 returning January 2 across Memphis and Chicago visiting Dietels relatives and the Museums of Natural History and Science and Industry as well as the aquarium and Lake Michigan area. They observed light snow and sleet on New Year’s Eve with mild weather overall.
