Cyrus H. Schmidt, former Harper High School student, named Outstanding Deputy Marshal of 1975 at a luncheon hosted by the A V Association attended by 300 judges and attorneys. Gala Day Planned for Grand Opening of Texas Hills Range
A Saturday April 24 grand opening will celebrate the Texas Hill Sporting Range at the former Tivy dale dance hall 12 miles west of Fredericksburg on FM2093. Norbert Fritz says preparations are complete for a day of flag-raising, Schuetzenkoenig shooting, free dances, food and prizes totaling about a thousand dollars. The event features Felix Pehl’s German Oompah Band and Diane Roberts and The Leisuremen for evening dancing with free admission to grounds and pavilion. Prizes include a .22-250 sport rifle and art works.
