Christmas programs and school leadership updates approved
The Loess Hills Area XIII Education Agency district voted to join a summer curriculum-writing project with other districts. It approved the 1985 86 audit and, per the auditor’s recommendation, boosted bond coverage for secretary Nancy Collins and treasurer Jeff Fecht. The board reviewed student requirements policy, conducted a six month superintendent evaluation, and planned to send all members to the second annual super board meeting in Council Bluffs on Dec 11. Four Shelby Tennant High School students were chosen for the Southwest Iowa Honor Marching Band, which will perform in the Cotton Bowl Parade in Dallas on New Year’s Day. Students Jason Bargenquast, Mary McCracken, Galen Barrett, and Gina Rau will depart Dec 30 and return Jan 2.
