Farm Youth tour selects Dunham for Iowa trip
New Providence News Ed Dunham son of Mr and Mrs Lewis K Dunham was chosen among 34 Iowa youths for the fifth annual Farm Youth tour. The senior and F F A president joined 14 industry visits from Sept 5 to Sept 9. The route included Redfield Brick and Tile, Shenandoah nursery, Council Bluffs Giant Manufacturing and World Radio Laboratories, Ottumwa Rosscreen doors, Oskaloosa hydrants, and Des Moines weather bureau with a plane tour. The six sponsors and driver accompanied the group, who stayed in hotels and concluded with a Des Moines airport banquet where Howard Hill spoke.

The Berlin Jackson Township Cemetery Society met at church parlors Tuesday with fourteen members present. Mrs. Wilee Ward led due to the absence of president and vice president. Ray C. Cunningham of Ames agreed to speak at the 1956 Memorial Day services. Iris Newby and others hosted visitors from Iowa Falls Steamboat Rock Woodward and Hubbard during recent and nearby visits.
