Fred Sterns, Steamboat Rock postmaster, was ousted by Democrats and Henry Luiken named as successor. Henry, a loyal Democrat, is seen as a solid replacement. Rev and Mrs E Beattie of Grinnell, a guest Monday, joined the Beatties Miss Murdock and Miss Hill. The Beatties, Miss Murdock and Miss Hill were missionary associates in Pakistan.
