Eldora marked the 39th birthday of the Girl Scouts with a Monday evening party at the high school gym. Attended by 145 Brownies to seniors, the event featured a flag ceremony, pledges, songs, skits, and a puppet show. Members discussed summer camp plans and a May Court of Awards.

Mrs Kenneth Harrington welcomed 30 members and five guests to the Newcomers club with a regular business session followed by piano duets by Mrs Howard Harris and Mrs Howard Frey. Memorial honors Juliette Lowe founder of Girl Scouts
Troops and council members participate in a memorial for Juliette Lowe founder of Girl Scouts in America and her aim to promote international scouting. A fund of 28.47 was raised.
