Fair group backs new Eldora auditorium on fairgrounds
At a Hardin County Fair Board meeting in Eldora, members debated remodeling the north stock pavilion versus building a new dedicated auditorium. They favored a new structure but requested definite plans, costs, and financing. A resolution urged studies on county and society funding while noting space remains adequate for livestock. An architect estimated a 50 by 122 foot building could be converted for about 15 000 dollars, with the National Production Authority capping yearly expenditures at 6 000 dollars for such a project.
