A large week’s sale at Eldora Livestock Sales featured a big run of lambs with fats $20.00 to $21.90 per cwt and feeders $18.00 to $20.00. Hogs sold steady to strong with boars $11.50 to $15.75 per cwt, breds $52.00 to $64.00, sows $16.00 to $15.30 per cwt, weanlings $9.00 to $14.00 each, and pigs up to $21.00 per cwt. Veal calves topped $28.25 per cwt. Stock cattle mostly steady. medium to good steers $16.00 to $20.00 per cwt, good to choice $20.00 to $22.30, better heifers $18.00 to $21.00, others $13.00 to $18.00. Bulls $16.80 to $17.50, cows strong with many $14.00 to $15.00 per cwt and some $17.00. Consign now to Eldora for protection under the Packers and Stockyards Act. Cement floors and washed alleys weekly.
