Sunday morning worship set for 10:00 a.m. with a chaplain sermon and special music by boys. Sunday Bible class at 1:00 p.m. in the small chapel, plus a Wednesday Bible class at 6:00 p.m. in the same chapel.
Daily Mass at 7:00 a.m. on Sundays 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. Confessions Saturdays 4-6 and 7-9 with Holy Day vigils 4-6 and 7-9. First Fridays 4-5 and 7-8. Confessions before Masses Sundays and Holy Days for penitents. Choir Thursdays. Children’s divisions Saturday 2:00 p.m. High school group 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Adults may arrange private instruction. Inquiries open to public. Baptisms Sundays 2:30 p.m.
Sunday schedule lists 10 a m Sunday School for all ages followed by morning worship. Evening events include Christ's Ambassadors for youths at 6 45 p m and an evangelistic meeting at 7 45 p m. Tuesday features W M at 7 30 p m? Thursday mid week service at 7 45 p m.
J Zimmermann, pastor, leads St Paul Lutheran as Sunday School and Bible class begin at 9 00 a m with Divine Service at 10 00. A rally service opens the International Walther League convention at Ames at 3 30 p m Tuesday includes an adult membership class at 8 00.
The church schedules 10:00 A M Sunday school and 11:00 A M worship with communion. A Sunday evening illustrated service titled In The Beginning will be held July 20. The pastor plans a vacation from July 31 to August 9. A dedication of gifts for new carpet is set for August 12 at the morning service. New members Mrs Abbe Peters transfers from Dundee Minn joins, and others join by faith. Baptisms include Jay Arnold Gast Sally Jo Readout and Sharla Kay Kramer.
The Church of Christ Eldora invites parishioners to Bible school at 9 30 a m and a 10 30 a m morning service with a sermon How To Be A Soul Winner There will be no evening service due to the Pine Lake youth camp opening which runs daily through Friday The women host food prep Monday and a Join Us class picnic and social at Paul Williams home near State Center Friday evening Eldora residents urged to assemble at the parsonage for group transport to the Williams residence.
First Methodist Church Eldora announces Sunday services led by Pastor John K. Moore. Sunday July 22 features Church School at 9 a m Nursery at 10 a m and a 10 a m sermon titled Yet Will I Serve Him.
Miss Bethal Dillavou and Miss Mary Ellen Dillavou of Malvern Arkansas are visiting friends in Eldora. Bethal is a guest of Miss Sharon Kusserow and Mary Ellen is a guest in the home of Miss Mary Ellen Mairs.
A long list of Parsonage and Dreier families, nieces and relatives from Pasadena Bakersfield and Eldora shared picnics and dinners around Hubbard Iowa Falls and Union and surrounding towns. Visitors from Okinawa and Denver joined local gatherings while many family groups attended church events and reunions at Jewell Eldora and Clar Clingerman homes.
A mixed shower for Mrs. Gerald Armstrong was held Monday at the Presbyterian church with slides as entertainment. Local families visited, guests traveled from Des Moines to Hyattsville and Pembine, and several residents joined in church and social activities around Des Moines, Eldora, and Ackley.
Missionary Society meeting hosted by Mrs James Mabie with multiple guests and church talk. Attendees include Bernita Mary and Deanna Mosteller and visitors from Marshalltown and Los Alamos New Mexico. Several local families entertained, travels noted, and a later men’s church meeting featured a Holy Land slide program.
Extension director Dick Pulse of Eldora says a new book titled Contemporary Farmhouses has 576 plan combinations on 24 pages plus 22 pages on design and construction details. Published for the North Central States colleges of agriculture, it guides rural families and builders, with copies available at Eldora extension office and the University of Illinois Press.
Radcliffe residents host and visit relatives across Iowa. P. J. Hoffman marks his 87th birthday as families gather in Boone Eldora and Des Moines for Wayne Coffman’s funeral noting his 39 years and Radcliffe ties. The Pekinese club shares a Sunday potluck with many area guests as Beatrices and Thorsons, Ibelings and Cammacks appear in multiple family gatherings.

Mrs C L Drake underwent major surgery in Eldora hospital last week and is recovering. family members visit regularly.
