Augusta Alden Brown 81 died Tuesday at Vidora hospital. Funeral at 2 p m today at the Congregational church Eldora with Rev Ralph B Imes in charge. Burial in Eldora cemetery. She was born Feb 5 1870 near Dunbar descendant of John Alden and married James A W Brown in 1895. Survived by two brothers and a sister and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs Aurand Diagnosed With Mild Polio In Iowa City
Wayne Aurand wife of Eldora's band director was taken to Iowa City Tuesday where doctors diagnosed a mild case of polio. No paralysis by Wednesday and dizziness had disappeared. If no complications arise she may return home next week. Earl Dunn of Waterloo led the municipal band in Aurand's absence.
