Eldora to Add a Fourth Barber Shop in 1902

In Eldora 1902 is to begin with plans for a fourth barber shop. Notable local events include a 1901 marriage license count of 194 in Hardin County. E. L. Carpenter opens a lunch room under the Van Avery building. The Herald reports long work hours and local library site debates. L.O.T.M. 1902 officers listed. Father W. J. Murray could freely loan vault funds for 30 days. A daughter born to Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Murray. Thomas Crossan buys 320 acres near Dayton for $18,000 and plans to move early February.

Beverly Flick Plant Gift Noted At Church Service

A plant on display during morning services at the Church of Christ was donated by Mrs. Hazel McDonald of Trenton New Jersey in memory of her father L S Ingham who would have turned 100. The plant was later taken to Mrs. Ingham’s home. McDonald is Ingham’s daughter. Senior Youth Fellowship will meet at 6:30 Sunday at the Christian church with Jackie Petersen leading devotions and others handling study recreation and refreshments.
