Fire Damages Fair Building at Hardin County Fairgrounds
A fire of undetermined origin damaged the north end of a former CCC barracks at the Hardin County fairgrounds Wednesday morning. Mrs. Margaret Albright and her five children lost their household goods as heat scorched walls and torn wall boards. The structure, second west of the grandstand, housed Seaton family goods in the south and storage in the middle section, both suffering smoke damage. Secretary C. W. Haase of the Hardin County Agricultural Society placed damage at 400 dollars. The fire was reported by Mrs. Seaton after she noticed smoke. the department moved two trucks and lines to the front door and side window, but heavy smoke limited visibility.
