About 12 Eldora residents will attend the sixth annual Industrial Development Clinic in Des Moines April 21 and 22. Activities include an awards banquet for outstanding service and workshops on community planning financing industry and attracting manufacturing. The event, sponsored by the Town Development Commission and Eldora Industrial Development Corporation, draws more than 700 attendees annually.

Several Hardin county women will drive to Amos Saturday to appear on WOI-TV at 2 30 P.M. Report from Henrietta Van Maanen, County Extension Home Economist. Dunn Named AF Training Units Adjutant
Captain William Dunn of Hardin County has been named Units Adjutant at the Eldora Air Force Reserve Training Center. The posting came from Col Roy Atherton. Dunn earned his wings at Ellington AFB in Texas. Major Ralph Kings, a World War I B-24 pilot and owner of Kings Conoco, is the local Personnel Officer. Major Lawrence Maxwell, ASC officer of Grundy Center, is the Units Training Officer. First Lieutenant Lloyd McDolé is Education Officer and Instructor, while First Lieutenant Cal Moore is Public Relations Officer. McDole teaches in Eldora schools. Moore is a local soil conservation official. Commander Pouale Sterling, US Navy, is Chaplain of the Eldora Congregational Church. County Dimes Drive Brings In $6603.59
Wilson Hadley of New Providence was re elected president of the Hardin County March of Dimes at the annual meeting April 11. Forty town and township chairmen attended as the drive reported 6603.59 raised in Hardin county during the 1960 campaign with half to local chapter and half to national headquarters. Eldora topped towns with 1162.18 and Iowa Falls 1406.23 in separate drives.
