Festival Details Announced For Queen Suzanne May Day Court

Suzanne Rankin will preside over Hanover College May Day Fete tomorrow at 1 30 on the lawn before the Auditorium escort David McGregor Master of Ceremonies. Court includes Maids of Honor and Senior girls with their escorts in a ceremonial processional led by the Hanover College Band under Buddy Wertz with the Aida March.

Ten 1950 Graduates Receive Alumni Awards at Banquet

Ten seniors were honored with Alumni Awards at the annual Alumni-Senior banquet in Donner Hall. Recipients include Nancy Austin, Sam Decker, Barbara Dowden, Barbara Hosler, Jeral d ine Hooton Horn, Merrill Scott, Kenneth Tewell, Richard Miller, Edwin Steiner, and Ezra Shaya. The awards recognize scholarship, activities, character, and citizenship.

Franklin president to deliver commencement address

President Richardson of Franklin University will give the commencement address at Hanover, as Theta Alpha Phi members report. Indiana Epsilon chapter of Theta Alpha Phi won first prize at the national convention in Terre Haute for The Glass Menagerie pastel painting, color print, and a color drawing by Howard Pipher. The Hanover Players built the set under Louis French’s supervision, with a parchment certificate awarded to the chapter, and officers to stay for another year during the fraternity’s reactivation program. Dr. Lee Norvelle of Indiana University dramatics headed the national group.

Government Classes Plan Louisville Trip

Dr. Leonard J. Kramer and two American Government classes will visit Louisville on Monday May 22 to study the city's government. Arrangements are being made with City Hall the Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Aldermen. The all day session includes tours of courts and the Mayor's beef session with details to be announced in the TRIANGLE.

Porter To Present Baccalaureate Talk

Dr. Eliot Porter will give the baccalaureate address on June 11 at Hanover Presbyterian Church. Franklin College President Harold Wellington Richardson will deliver the commencement address on Monday June 12 in the College Auditorium.

Pre-Registration Slated For Monday At Hanover College

Hanover College pre registration starts Monday May 15 and runs through Friday May 26. Professor Ned Guthrie notes class schedules for next fall may be ready for distribution Monday. The curriculum expansion adds a larger art department under Esther F Black.

Steering Committee Chosen in PAF Vote

Elections to the steering committee of the Public Affairs Forum followed the screening of Shoe Shine. Newly elected were Tom Houser Bruce Mitchell and Ralph Anderson with John Trask re elected. Incumbent members Marilyn Megorden and Al Speck and faculty advisor Dr Leonard J Kramer all retained posts.
