1917 Revonah on Campus Praised and Sold Out

The 1917 Revonah made its campus debut on Wednesday morning with sales from 8:30 to 12:30 and ninety two annuals sold. The edition is bound in long grain leather and features swan down paper with a tan ink border. Dedicated to Prof. A H Woodworth, it includes faculty portraits, student sections, fraternities, athletics, jokes and calendars. The Staff notes early production and urges alumni to order by sending name, address and payment of 1.70 for cloth bound or 2.20 for leather bound at once.

Four Hanover Men Answer Country's Call

Four Hanover students VOLUNTEER for U S service in coast artillery and other branches. Theodore and Daniel Clapp Justice Huntley and Sylvester Paulus leave campus, weakening athletics and student press but earning faculty credit and public commendation. The College honors their sacrifice and urges timely orders for the Revonah publication.

Hanover Defeats St. Xavier’s Nine In Slow Game

Hanover beat St. Xavier’s Cincinnati 8 to 1 in an unenergetic contest. James pitched well with one safe hit allowed and homered, while Hanover’s defense and hitting were steady though not fully utilized. The team shows improvement over last year and has two home games left in the season.

Y W C A plans humorous chautauqua with Gilbert Eldredge

The Hanover YWCA announces an entertainment event featuring Gilbert At Lee Eldredge a noted chautauqua impersonator. He will perform Thursday May 10 at 8 00 pm offering a mix of comedy pathos and drama as a cure for despondence.

Pan-Hellenic Dance at Alpha Delta Pi Hall May 12

The Pan-Hellenic dance hosted by Alpha Delta Pi and Phi Mu will be held Saturday night May 12 at the Alpha Delta Pi hall. Out of town guests will attend for the weekend. Music will be by Nodler and Benson's Saxphone Orchestra of Louisville.

Senior speakers named for commencement lineup

The faculty selects I. S. Allison and J. L. Culbertson as two of the four class speakers for commencement for having the two highest four year averages. Miss Vestile and F. N. Hufford were chosen by the class as the other two speakers. Subjects remain to be chosen.

Betas Plan Sixty Fourth Anniversary Celebration

The local Beta Theta Pi chapter schedules its 64th founding anniversary on May 19 with alumni returning. District chief Webster Adams may visit. a Friday banquet and Saturday dance are set, and a meeting will be held at the old Beta Rock where the first chapter met in 1853.

Seniors skip announcements and cap gown at graduation

At a Wednesday senior class meeting the group decided to do away with usual announcements citing the high cost of graduating. A motion to abandon wearing caps and gowns at commencement was defeated.
