Hanover College Choir Heads on Three State Weekend Tour
Seventy three members under Director Donald Morrison depart February 18 for performances in New Albany Evansville Indianapolis Mt Vernon Paris Shelbyville Illinois and Kirkwood Missouri. The program includes sacred and classical pieces plus Divine Poems by Bernhard Heiden and a seventeen member chamber group.

More than a thousand public school students attend the Southeastern Indiana District Solo and Ensemble music contest on Saturday February 6 at the campus. Professor Max Poland directs the arrangements for the Indiana School Music Association sponsored event. Auditions run from 8 30 a m to about 4 p m with 385 woodwind 240 brass and 29 percussion events judged in six minute blocks with written critiques and ratings.

Vienna Choir Boys Draw Capacity Crowd at Friday Concert

The Sandbox uses a desert beach setting to explore death and the sterility of the American family with characters Mommy and Daddy and Grandma in a sandbox. Hello Out There set in a Texas jail follows loneliness as a young man, a girl, a wife, and a husband seek love, with other minor roles.

Debaters score at Eastern Illinois University event
Ted Lester Henry Hamman and Catherine Westfall led the first Panther Discussion Tournament at Eastern Illinois University last Saturday on the poverty in the United States. Lester topped two rounds and placed second once, Westfall won one round, Hamman won one, with final standings Lester Westfall Ted Hill and Hamman. Other schools from six states included Eastern Illinois Monmouth Morehead Loras Indiana State and Wisconsin State colleges.
