Students embark on Stratford Shakespeare study abroad
The English 334 group from Hanover College will spend five weeks in Stratford-on-Avon studying Shakespeare and the Elizabethan age. Dr. Bucks coordinates with the Shakespeare Institute and University of Birmingham. Four plays will be seen at the Royal Shakespeare Theater including A Comedy of Errors, Love's Labour's Lost, The Merchant of Venice, and The Jew of Malta as part of a packed schedule with lectures, field trips, and weekends in London and Stratford.

Dr. Eric Dean, chair of Wabash College Humanities Division, will address Hanover students and faculty in chapel on January 28 on the topic The Death of Simplicity. He teaches philosophy and religion and holds degrees from the University of Chicago. Dr. Dean, born in London with British citizenship, served in the Royal Air Force during World War II. He previously taught at North Central College in Naperville and will stay briefly with Dr. and Mrs. E. Mowbray Tate.
