Registration Plans For January 30 Announced By Dean

Dr. E Mowbray Tate announced spring semester registration for Monday January 30. Advisors will be on Classic Hall second floor with registrants lining center stairs and must see an advisor before 4 p m to avoid a one dollar late fee. The alphabetical order runs 8 00 A D 9 00 E I 10 00 J R 11 00 S Z with morning completion preferred.

Eleven Will Be Initiated Into Honorary Theta Alpha Phi Chapter

Hanover Players announce plans to install Indiana Epsilon Chapter of Theta Alpha Phi, with Dr. Lee Norvelle assisting. Eleven members including Ed Bocksteiger, Alvin Boyer, Jackson Cravens, Robert Frederick, John Haney, Howard Pipher, Nancy Robinson, Dorothy Raines, Joan Russ, Mary Swartz, and Jim Stuckey will become charter members. The effort follows last spring's petition advised by Prof. Don A. Watters.

Bowman Chosen Guest Leader For Religious Emphasis Program

The Hanover campus will host Reverend Harold Leonard Bowman D D the guest leader for a four day Religious Emphasis Program February 14 15 16 and 17. He will speak in Chapel each day lead forums on personal faith and Christian conduct and hold private consultations with students. Morning devotions will be held daily at 6 45 in Classic Hall Sanctuary.

Spike Day Sorority Rush Rules Outlined By Pan Hel

Panhellenic Council outlines second semester sorority rush from January 30 through February 5 with Spike Day on February 6 and pledging on February 7. Returning rush participants keep eligibility without re registering. New entrants may sign up with Jean Horner Donner Hall. Preference cards distributed February 6 due to Dr. Dorothy S. Bucks by noon.

Concert Pianist To Play Chopin Here

Adolph Weiser from Indiana University School of Music will give a Chopin program on February 3 to mark the 100th anniversary of Chopin death October 17, 1849. The program includes Polonaise in A Flat, Minute Waltz, Fantasie Impromptu and other popular works. The Wheeling News Register lauds his brilliant technique and virtuosic passage work.

Assembly Calendars To Be Distributed

Calendars of coming assembly programs through spring vacation will be distributed to students at the first program of the new semester. The bookmarks will help students and alumni follow upcoming attractions. A new speaker stand for the stage will be ready at the semester opening.

Hanover selects blossom princess candidate for Cherry Blossom Festival

Barbara McKahan, a Greensburg, Indiana native and Phi Mu sophomore, was elected Hanover's blossom princess candidate in Monday morning assembly. She and finalists Betty Hough, Sheila Spicer, and Betty Coryell will advance as representatives of their colleges for the Indiana state contest. The Indiana Star sponsors the state event, with the winner advancing to the national competition in Washington, D C in March.

Hanover College Library received a Micro Library Reader via Louisville Public Library for microcard editions of the Saturday Review of Literature. Displayed at the main desk, the device magnifies 38 pages onto a screen, with pages turned by a knob and focus adjusted. Microfilm and microcards expand access while saving space and cost.
