Study Idea Progresses at Hanover Under Wright Guidance

The Academic Study Committee led by Kent Wright advances plans to form discussion groups. Groups will mix juniors and seniors or freshmen and sophomores to gauge student opinion on vital issues with emphasis on the 14-14-5 plan. Meetings will be held in faculty homes after the Brazil Institute.

Cast Announced For Threepenny Opera On Family Day

Hanover College announces the Threepenny Opera cast led by Tom VanValey as Macheath and Nancy Hatchcraft as Polly in the Brecht musical. John Fettig and Jean Kinley play J J Peachum and his wife in the Sono district London setting, with Henry Bishop as Tiger Brown and Ken Bierman as Rev Kimball. Cast members include Jim Yeiser Kent Wright Dave Martin Ken Keene and several actresses portraying Jenny Lucy Betty Dolly Coaxer and Molly. Performances are May 8 and May 9 for Family Day entertainment.

British Style Debate Opens Politics Series At Hanover

A British style debate on U S foreign aid policy sponsored by the Forensic Union launches the Politics ’64 series at Hanover College in Long Ballroom. Julie Irwin and Ed Barry named co chairmen for the 1964 Bike Race. Irwin, a Portsmouth Ohio junior sociology major, belongs to Rec Committee SNEA WRA Young Republicans and Phi Mu.Barry, a Lincoln Illinois junior business major, is Alpha Phi Omega member and REVONAH photographer.
