The Sophomore Hop drew over thirty couples from 7:45 to midnight, led by Jack Blackburn and Miss Neil Bingham. The Columbus orchestra provided music as guests and chaperones attended, with decorations in class colors and punch served.

The Union and Philalathean literary societies announce their annual intersociety contest on March 24 1913. Debates orations and declamations are planned with a $25 prize offered by H F Doolittie for the debate winner. Representatives were elected Tuesday night Lawrence Capehart and T W Blair lead the debaters Albert Sel ers and Kehoe are the orators Leslie O Winslow and Frank L Parrill will perform declamations. The debate topic will be chosen before the holidays to allow vacation study time.

Hanover Hosts College Press Association Convention
The Indiana Intercollegiate Press Association held its annual convention with the Hanover press club last Friday and Saturday. Delegates from Earlham Butler and others attended. IU DePauw and Wabash were unrepresented. Butler was chosen as next meeting host. Officers elected: Robert D Armstrong president, Blair Converse vice president, Clarence Voris recording secretary, Howard Caldwell corresponding secretary, Bernard Gavitt treasurer. Banquet speakers included Millis, Souter, Chapman, and Cochran.
