Half the students have newspaper experience, one fifth hold college degrees, and nine are women. The faculty includes twenty four instructors with practical work in journalism. A third of the course focuses on writing English to develop accuracy and vivid style, aiming to teach storytelling with a sheet of paper and a typewriter.
