Birdtail River School Board holds September 18 1989 meeting
The Birdtail River School Division No 38 trustees met at Crandall Division Office at 8 00 p m with Chappell Purdy Barteaux Murray Bridge McKay Carter Bomak Simard Bear Huberdeau present. Key actions include hiring Harley Campbell for physical education at Birtle Collegiate, adding Gayleen Mushumanski as half time teacher aide, granting maternity leave to Darlene Kretai, declaring Kenton and Foxwarren Schools smoke free, approving student swimming lessons at Rocanville, Saskatchewan, and supporting Grade 12 French programs at Bellegarde Saskatchewan. By law 4/89 borrowing authorization approved after third reading. Also approved use of MAST for 1990 negotiations, Prairie Partnership for Miniota Science Room, investing Gordon Hunter Memorial funds at 10.75 percent, modifying emergency transportation policy, purchasing weed spray, reviewing August financials, tendering a new maintenance van, and adjusting trustee payments. Meeting adjourned at 11 30 p m with next session set for September 28 1989.
