Local recycling depot formed in Hamiota Manitoba
A group of Hamiota residents established the first rural Manitoba recycling depot to collect plastics bottles aluminum cans glass newsprint and more. The first depot runs October 4 from noon to 6 pm at the blue Feed-Rite Shed across from the Centotaph.

Prairie ministers from Manitoba Saskatchewan and Alberta will join senior federal officials in Brandon October 26 27 for the Prairie Forum for Rural Development. Agriculture Minister Glen Findlay announced a 40000 grant under the Agri-Food agreement to the Manitoba Agriculture in the Classroom committee. The funds support a coordinator salary and program operations while resources are catalogued for teachers.
