Tea marks 50th anniversary for John and Alice Waddell
The Waddell family hosted a Come and Gum Tea on September 16 in Newdale to honor John and Alice Waddell on their 50th wedding anniversary. About 125 relatives and friends attended, with Alice’s sister Doris Alkenback of Sudbury as bridesmaid and Gordon Waddell, best man, sending wishes due to harvest. The event featured lunch by the U.C.W. and help from grandchildren and other relatives from Neepawa Humbolt Winnipeg and distant places such as Sudan and Minnedosa.
