The Hamiota Community Advisory Committee met at the Hamiota Community Centre on August 31 1989 at 7 30 pm. Present were Don Venables Jan Shayman Tom Sedgwick Nelson Woods Bruce Cochran Ken Strachan Dr Ed Hudson Ed Brethour Geraldine Guilfoyle Lorna Hamilton. absent Don Mennie Farzana Sardinalla Terry Robertson. Barb Connell Graham Latonas Rick Cooke Nick Carter and about 80 landowners attended. Discussion covered minutes approval and omission of Doug Beamish comments, updates on the MHWMC including a household hazardous waste day, map revisions for the RM of Hamiota, drilling plans near Rossburn, and ongoing public health and safety preparations for a hazardous waste facility with local participation and independent monitoring.
