Birdtail River School Division elects new officers in Crandall meeting

The Birdtail River School Division No. 38 held its Oct 23 1986 inaugural and regular meeting at Crandall. Trustees A Murray and G Harvey took oaths, Glen Bridge named Chairman and William Chappell Vice-Chairman for 1986/87. Resignations and hires noted along with actions on tax recovery contract and energy management agreement. Meeting adjourned to Nov 13 1986.

Parkissimo Lodge and local visits in Minot and Brandon

Parkissimo Lodge residents Al Armitage and Margaret Foster hosted visiting families including Jack and Rita Dodds and Margaret Menschnee Dodds of Minot and Linda Schrader of Brandon. Marjorie Armitage stayed in Hamiota Hospital then Al traveled to Brandon for a medical check. Community events included a lodge fowl supper and U C W home dining.
