Hamiota Lawn Bowlers Close Season with Pot Luck
The Hamiota lawn bowlers ended their season with a pot luck supper. 25 members attended. During the summer they hosted clubs from Birtle, Strathclair, Oak River, Stanley Park, Brandon, Kenton and Virden. Seven members attended the Senior picnic at Glenboro in June, travelling by Handi transit van. Members who travelled reported good games and social times at both home and away events.

Miniota Home and School Reorganizes For 1986
About 30 parents and Miniota School staff gathered Wednesday October 8 to reorganize the Miniota Home and School Association chaired by Linda Clark. New staff welcomed include Nancy O Quinn and Marion Morgan. Minutes and treasurer reports were adopted as Keith Tataryn outlined playground plans and student council activities. A family life education program was discussed for future School Board review. A monthly meeting plan with speakers was approved. A $50 donation to Birdtail River Fine Arts Festival was proposed.
