Western Canada farm input costs dip while commodity prices fall
Statistics Canada reports a near one percent drop in total farm input costs in the first two quarters of 1986 for Western Canada. Manitoba analyst Bob Ward notes the decline brings limited relief as overall commodity prices still slide, with feed costs down 22.8 percent and fuel 20 percent lower than 1985.
