Centennial Arts Festival and Highland Games in Halifax
Summers of celebrations across Canada featured the Provinces Centennial Spectacular in Halifax with a Folk Arts Festival showcasing Nova Scotia ethnic groups. Performances included Mi’kmaq, Italian, Lebanese, Chinese, French, Ukrainian and Polish acts, and a mass chorus of O Canada. Highland Games followed with dancers from across Canada, prizewinning pipers and athletes, judged by Canadian and Scottish officials.
