The Manitoba government approved collective agreements with provincially employed physicians and lawyers for one year from March 25 1978. A 6 percent general salary increase aligns with Anti-Inflation Board guidelines, with about 50 physicians ratifying via the Manitoba Medical Association and roughly 20 Legal Aid Services lawyers via the Legal Aid Lawyers Association.
