The Chumah Ladies Club gathered at Ester Netts in the evening with 21 members present and a visitor from Scotland. Janie Lewis presided, a devotional by Bernice Lewis, a treasurer's report of 354.32, Hospital Aid update by Laura McLean, plans to cater the Elmer and Janelle Houck 50th anniversary supper on December 3, and praise for Bonnie Anderson's Africa teaching life. A lunch followed, catered by group one.

The Rural Municipality and Village of Hamiota share the purchase of a 1978 Ford F800 fire engine for 41000 dollars. Delivered by Ralph Ward and Craig Becker of Metals Industry in Brandon, the lime yellow truck features 475 C I engine, 5 speed transmission, 850 gallon tank, 750 feet of 2 inch hose, 650 feet of 1 1/4 inch hose, and assorted gear. It will be first out to fires and aims to improve response and reduce damages.
