Oak River Women’s Institute Meeting Plans Cancelled

The Oak River Women’s Institute gathered at the town hall after September plans were canceled by bad weather. Members voted to contribute ten dollars to the treasury in lieu of fundraising. A letter from Wingrove Institute was read and donations appreciated for the Children’s Hospital organ project and the 117,000 dollar charity sale in Polo Park. The group outlined its aims and welcomed new members. The next meeting is October 3 at 2:00, with a vegetable creature contest and a slide on New Brunswick.
