The Birdtail River Speech-Dance Festival will be held in Hamiota from November 4 to 8. Entry deadline is October 4. Entry Secretary Karen Mathison can be reached at 764-2502. The International Youth Year speech contest is open to Grades 5 through 12, with adjudicator Terry Welch renowned in Winnipeg for his work in speech and drama.

Homecoming planned at University of Winnipeg in 1985
The University of Winnipeg announces its first Homecoming Weekend from October 18 to 20 1985.
