The Minnedosa District Health Auxiliary met with 30 members and one guest on Monday November 13 1989. Al Martin the Hospital Administrator spoke on progress and architectural plans for the spring 1990 construction. Ultra Sound equipment is now in operation.
Decker News notes Madsen returned from Toronto where he showed Belgian horses at the Toronto Royal, placing 6th and 9th in entries of 15. Decker U C W met November 21 at Marion Hunter’s home with Mae Lints presiding and Mona thanked for lunch.
The Miniota Beef Club held a reorganizational meeting November 9 1989 at 7 30 p m in the Miniota School led by Bill Clark and Ray Moorehead with 17 members. Garth Short chaired elections naming Trevor Shewfelt as president Wade Haines as vice president Julie Clark secretary Sheldon Moorehead treasurer and Cherilyn Clark club reporter. Junior leaders are Trevor Shewfelt and Julie Clark. Meetings set for January 14 1990 and December 28 1989 weigh day at 9 00 a m. The group will sell Christmas trees at the Miniota Co op as a fundraiser and plans to send 4 per member to Manitoba Council. New members include Duncan Leland Brent Leland Brian Armitage and Trevor Clark.
