Happy Gang and Card Party At Lodge Hall

The Happy Gang met November 22 at Harrison House with 21 members present. Mary Coutts opened with a poem. five tables of whist were played. winners included Margaret Brown and Myrtle St John. A lunch of biscuits muffins tea and coffee followed. On November 24 the I O C F held a card party at the Lodge Hall with 26 attendees and six whist tables. Mabel Lamb won several prizes and Jo Andreychuk led the entertainment with a lunch of buns and jam.

Newdale Hospital Aid held its quarterly gathering on Friday November 17 1989 at 7 30 p m in Harrison House. Mary Osborne as president and secretary treasurer led minutes from the September meeting with 10 members and two visitors present.

Women’s Institute Meeting at Harrison House Lounge

The Women’s Institute met on Thursday November 16 at Harrison House Lounge to install officers and board members. Ten members and four visitors attended. minutes and treasurer reports were approved. Prizes were won by Linda Baker, Minnie Hogarth, Mary Coutts, and Ida Bradley. A luncheon followed. holiday wishes were exchanged for Christmas and the coming year.
