Canadian Common Market aims to boost health care product supply
Ontario unveils a plan to create a Canadian Common Market for health care products. The 1980 market is about 1.2 billion with 70 percent imported. Provinces will promote Canadian production and inform hospital buyers nationwide. The Canadian Development Corporation will assist firms expanding nationally. Hospitals may cooperate if price and quality justify, with government policy and ministry support to cover extra costs.
