Senior Citizens Council meeting well attended

The Westman Senior Citizens Council Inc met in the Provincial Building Brandon on November 9 1987. President John Rankin welcomed fifty three members from twenty seven clubs. Reports covered Journal circulation MSOS membership and budget details. A motion supported sending form letters regarding Tobaco Acts and MSOS representation. time 2 45 p m.

Miniota Elkhorn Boys Hockey Reach Wheat King Event

The Miniota Elkhorn boys hockey team attended Wheat King 7 and won tickets for a future game. Pat Watters plays on the team. Several local residents visited Brandon and attended Remembrance Day events. An observance service was held at Miniota United Church with a banquet that evening at Miniota Motel. Sympathy extended to families of Alvin Gurr and Bob Henderson.
