Bible Society meets at Hamiota Branch in church
The Hamiota Bible Society annual meeting was held November 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Pentecostal Church. Attendance rose from 18 to 32. Rev. Vibe from Winnipeg spoke, noting Bible distribution in Russia and printing in China with help from five countries aiming for one million copies. Bert Gurr presided and presented a $1,600 cheque.

Explorers Host Halloween Party at Miniota United Church
The Explorers held a Halloween party at Miniota United Church on October 28 1987 at 7 PM. Twenty three guests and nine Explorers wore costumes and walked through a haunted tunnel. Elsie Dickerson read a Halloween story. Explorer girls sang Who has seen the Ghost of John.

Judy Rowan Receives Multiple Brandon College Scholarships
Judy Rowan in her final year of the Brandon College Education Course received several awards at the Convocation Exercises on Saturday November 2.
