Tax sharing funds to be available in July
Manitoba provincial officials announce 39.8 million in municipal tax sharing funds to be distributed in July to organized municipalities and to the Minister of Northern Affairs for Indian bands and unorganized areas. The per capita basic payment rises to 33 in 1987, with Urban Services Supplements held steady. 1986 census data will set 1987 payments and a four year transitional adjustment prevents losses for municipalities with population declines.
