The Isabella Women’s Institute marked the International Year of the Child by collecting for Multiple Sclerosis Muscular Dystrophy and Cancer. Plans include a Craft display and bedding plant sale on May 28. Six attended the Southwest A Regional Convention in Lenore with Bernice Still as delegate.
In 1977 the International Council of Museums designated May 18 as International Museum Day. Manitoba hosts over 100 museums with events planned to invite public participation in observance.
