Editor's letter on democracy, debt and middle class fate
The Editor argues that student actions in China and other communist countries aim for democracy but warns capitalist democracies face deficit budgets, rising debt, inflation, and a shrinking middle class. The letter suggests true democracy comes when people control government by majority will and notes Canada’s debt as a cautionary lesson. F R Cameron signs the piece.
