Prairie drought relief aids livestock and herds program
The Government of Canada launches a 60 million drought relief plan for Manitoba Saskatchewan and Alberta ranchers and farmers. It adds to prior 7 million in aid and funds herd maintenance payments feed subsidies and nutrition advice to preserve breeding herds through winter with staged payments and strict eligibility based on herd size drought area and township crop yields.
