Manitoba Lottery Licensing Board Announces New Terms

Lawson 60th Anniversary Married CALGARY Couple to be honored this weekend

CALGARY Albert Bert and Phyllis Lawson will celebrate their 60th anniversary with an open house tea Saturday 2 to 5 p.m. at First Baptist Fellowship Hall. A family dinner Sunday will include about 50 relatives at Roxboro House. Married June 23 1920 in Carmen Manitoba they moved to Calgary in 1930. Bert 86 and Phyllis 83 have six children 28 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration at Oak River

On June 29 1980 Mr and Mrs Maurice Genung marked their 50 years of marriage with a morning worship service at the United Church followed by a Come and Go Tea attended by about 200 guests from Manitoba and beyond. Congratulatory messages came from notable figures including Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau and Joe Clark. A smorgasbord supper closed the day as family and friends shared memories and well wishes.
